Dr. Terry Smith, DC
Dr. Terry Smith, DC graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia in 1989. He worked for a thriving practice in Warren Michigan before moving to Colorado Springs, CO in 1990. Dr. Smith bought a practice in that same year and practiced for 29 years in the Fountain Valley area of southern Colorado Springs. In 2012 he noticed that there was an increase in his patients that were suffering from numbness, tingling, pain, and burning sensations in their hands and feet. While adjusting the spine brought some relief, most patients needed prescription medication to live with these terrible symptoms. Dr. Smith searched the world to find the latest techniques and practices that were having success. He found that in Europe they were using light therapy, supplements, and certain types of electro-medicine to combat the effects of the what would be known as small nerve fiber peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Smith studied with doctors in Phoenix Arizona, Oregon, Washington state, and lately Orange County California to find the latest and best diagnostic tests and therapies that are working to correct this condition.
After 29 years in practice in Colorado Springs, Dr. Smith sold his practice and started Elevate Medical in Littleton Colorado. Using an integrated approach, he brought medical providers and chiropractors on board to not only treat peripheral neuropathy, but to also help those patients that suffered with worn or injured joints. He knew that the future of medicine will be found in HCTP Injections, and a holistic approach involving tissue cell injections, PRP treatments, trigger point injections, rehabilitation stretching, exercises, and strengthening protocols along with high tech therapy equipment and more simple chiropractic and massage. In his vision of the future of medicine, he understands that prescriptive medication such as opioids, anti-depressants, and cortisone injections only serve to numb the mind, damage the body, and do not allow the problem to be treated at the core. He seeks to have patients reach their highest level of health attainable- at any current level they are currently at.
His heart and passion are truly pointed at individuals that have failed in the current medical model, and allowing them to have alternatives to heal and strive naturally, the way their bodies have been made to function from birth.
