The O-Shot for Women
It is estimated that nearly 50 percent of adult women experience urinary incontinence and approximately 40 percent of women have sexual dysfunction at some point in their lives. While both concerns are very common, the options for medical treatments are limited and often involve prescription or surgical intervention. Elevate Medical provides women a drug-free, non-surgical solution called the O-Shot that has no recovery time and immediate results. Finally, there is a natural answer to leaky urine, lack of or low sexual desire, difficulty being arouse, trouble reaching an orgasm, pain with sexual activity, vaginal dryness, and Lichen Sclerosus.
What is the O-Shot? The O-Shot, also referred to as The Orgasm Shot, is a simple procedure that uses the growth factors each woman has in her own body to rejuvenate the upper vagina and clitoris. These growth factors are found in the blood, and through a specific technique, are able to generate healthier, more functional vaginal tissue while improving vascularization, or blood flow to the area.
Benefits of the O-Shot:
-increased ability to achieve orgasm
-stronger orgasm themselves
-improved tissue elasticity and lubrication
-reduce or eliminate pain during sex
-improved control or elimination of lichen sclerosis symptoms
-strengthen vaginal and urinary muscles for urinary incontinence and decreased prolapse
-heal vaginal tissues from tearing or abrasions
What to expect. The O-Shot procedure begins with a small blood draw from your arm. Using a centrifuge, your platelets are separated and concentrated into platelet-rich plasma (PRP) that contains active growth factors. Before the extracted PRP is injected, a strong topical anesthetic cream is applied to the area, followed by a small amount of Lidocaine that is injected into the tissue with a very small needle, keeping discomfort to a minimum. Once numb, the PRP is injected into the numbed area near the clitoris and upper vagina, or “o-spot”.
The entire procedure is quick, generally taking about 45 minutes to complete, and is usually painless. Most patients experience a slight pinch or warm sensation when injected, and there is no recovery time afterward. Side effects, if any, are minimal, and may include mild redness, swelling, and/or numbness for the first few days. Depending on your individual goals, alongside the state of your initial health, results may be seen almost immediately in some women, while up to three months in others. If additional shots are recommended, eight weeks between treatments are typically required, and each subsequent shot will build upon existing results. Benefits can last for up to three years.
